Monique Hamelmann

Director

She has been a freelance director and artist since the 2020/21 season. After her first production DER NAZI UND DER FRISEUR, she developed the play Ihr habt keinen Plan – Anleitung zum Richtig-Wollen at the Staatsschauspiel Dresden and DER FALL ANNEMARIE HALLER as part of the HörBühne at the Landesbühnen Sachsen. She will direct the world premiere of BUS 57. She studied German and Philosophy at the HU Berlin and was assistant director at the Staatsschauspiel Dresden from 2017-2020. There she worked amongst other things with Andreas Kriegenburg, Daniela Löffner, Volker Lösch, Data Tavadze, Sebastian Klink and Mina Salehpour. During her assistance at the Staatsschauspiel Dresden she developed small performative events. With the work Wie die Menschlichkeit in die Welt kam, winkte und um die Ecke bog, she was invited to the SummerUp 5 Festival (Mannheim).
