Dr. Maria Dinold

Dr. Maria Dinold was scientific staff and teacher at the Center of Sport Science and university Sports of the University of Vienna from 1994 until October 2018 – responsible for the special field of adapted physical activity (APA) and sport as well as teaching dance and Volleyball at the Sports Institute Vienna (USI). Her research focus and publications include APA, psychosocial aspects of disability in sport and physical education, inclusion of individuals with disabilities in physical activity, dance and sport as well as inclusive pedagogy. Relying on multiple experiences from different contemporary dance educations (seminars and workshops in e.g. Germany, New York, Vienna) Maria began her artistic and pedagogical cooperation with “Ich bin O.K.” already in 1981. She was the chairpersons’ deputy between 1984 and 2008 and taught creative dance regularly. Actually, she serves as secretary in the board and is closely connected to the association by providing choreographic and pedagogic assistance. She is voluntarily involved for the productions and the project “Dance Assists”.
