Born in Porto, Portugal, Rute started in the theatre area as an actress, completing the acting course at the ACE – Arts School. Later realized she preferred being backstage and graduated from ESMAE – Superior School of Music and Performing Arts as a stage manager and producer. Since then, she has been working as a producer and assistant director at GrETUA, co-founded the theatre company NAVIO, and was the stage manager of the Helena Sá e Costa Theatre. Nowadays, she is part of the FITEI festival’s team as an accessibility coordinator, audience mediator, and production assistant.
