Jonathan Achtsnit

Theatre Mediator

Jonathan Achtsnit is a theatre mediator and director in the field of TYA. Born 1990 in Vienna, he studied education sciences at the university of Vienna and theatre mediation at the university of arts in Berlin. From 2015 to 2018 he led a variety of different long-term projects on cultural and aesthetical education with 50 to more than 100 children for the GRIPS theatre in Berlin, as well as some professional community performances within queer spaces. In 2016 he earned a scholarship of the German ministry of economic development and worked for six months with an indigenous theatre group in Odisha, India. Since 2018 Jonathan is head of the theatre mediation department of DSCHUNGEL WIEN–theatre for young audiences.
