As Executive Director, working closely with the leadership team. Jenny’s role involves her managing and developing the financial strategy and business plan for Derby Theatre, in line with its artistic vision.Prior to this, Jenny has held a range of development and management roles within the cultural sector, working for a range of organisations including: artsdepot in London, National Youth Orchestra of Great Britain, Dance Base in Edinburgh (Chief Executive) and Oldham Coliseum Theatre (Interim Chief Executive).
During her time at Dance Base, Jenny was instrumental in establishing a number of high quality learning and participatory programmes including: Lothians Youth Dance Company, Junior Conservatoire Contemporary Dance; Frantic Assembly’s Ignition programme and Dance for Parkinsons Scotland (DfPS), in partnership with Scottish Ballet. Additionally, she worked with the Artistic Director to ensure the effective management of Dance Base’s award winning Fringe programme, which saw audiences double over the four year period; as well as launching Scotland’s first ever Nordic dance programme; and a new Associate Artist Scheme.
