Caroline Barth

Caroline started her career writing, performing and directing for her Sheffield-based theatre in education company, Pageant Theatre.  From there, she went on to become the Education Manager at the Queen’s Theatre, Hornchurch where she established their learning programme and directed six annual community musicals, including A Tale of Two Cities and produced a number of schools’ tours including To Kill a Mockingbird and Of Mice and Men.  Caroline went on to become Head of Education at Theatre Royal Stratford East and then moved to Derby in 2004 to take up her post as Creative Director of Creative Partnerships Derby and then latterly as Director of Leadership at The Mighty Creatives.  She has been the Creative Learning Director at Derby Theatre since 2013, where she oversees the learning programme with all learners: children and young people, undergraduates, MA students, through to adults. Derby Theatre is a Learning Theatre, where the artistic and the learning agendas go hand in hand, and is owned by the University of Derby.
